Billy M. Hillman

1935 - 2011

Billy M. Hillman, age 76, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Baptist Manor Nursing Home following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

Billy was a member of the U. S. Army National Security Agency and served during the Korean War. On April 10, 1956, he married Charita (Cheri) Hillman.

Billy was employed with IBM for 29 years, Nynex Corporation for 4 years and retired in 1990. In 1993, Billy and Cheri moved to Pensacola, FL. A member of the Marcus Pointe Men's Golf Association, he enjoyed many friendships and memories.

He is predeceased by his daughter Debra Hillman Kimbro. Billy is survived by his wife, Charita (Cheri) Hillman, his daughter, Karen Nelin (James) and grandson, Jacob of Wylie, TX; his son, Steve Hillman (Carol) and granddaughter, Anna of Summerfield, NC; his daughter, Catherine Bly (Terry) and grandchildren, Tyler, Aly, and Rachel of Milton, FL; grandchildren, Brittany and Marshall Kimbro of Grapevine, TX.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, December 12 with services held on Tuesday, December 13 at 10:00 am at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, FL. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola.
