Betty Jean Wishum

1931-2019

Betty Jean Wishum, 87, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away on January 1, 2019. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama and moved to the Pensacola area in 1985. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Leon E. Wishum, a son, Gene Wishum and his wife, Kim, of Panama City; four grandchildren: Gene (Jamie) Wishum, Jacob Wishum, Alison Brown and Parker Brown; five great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Jon, Ashley, Liam and Luke Wishum. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Abbott.

Mrs. Wishum was retired from the banking industry. She was a long-time member of Gulf Breeze Church of Christ. Her favorite hobby was fishing.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, immediately followed by a service.
