Born in Haywood, Tennessee, Betty was the daughter of E.B and Grace Summers. She graduated from Nicholas Blackwell High School in Bartlett, Tennessee. Betty was employed at Gulf Power and Vanity Fair.
She enjoyed many years of travel with her Navy husband and children before moving to Milton, Florida. She was a very talented interior decorator, gardener, and landscaper. Betty will be remembered for her energetic spirit and the love and devotion to her sister, children, and grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her sister Barbara Wolverton, her loving companion of 25 years Tony Kemp, sons Michael S. Mullins and Eugene Kemp. Daughters Kathy Mullins (David) Craig. Toni Lynn (John) Smirniotis, Jodi Gipson, Keota Lovett (Max). Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her best friend of fifty years Nancy Perry and longtime close friends and neighbors Mike and Susan Howard.
Betty was predeceased by her parents, E. B. and Grace Summers, brother Bennie Ray Summers, husband William B. Mullins, daughter Nancy Catherine Cook, and grandson Ryan Christopher Mullins.
The funeral service will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 W. 9 Mile Rd., Pensacola at 12:00 PM with interment at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family viewing/visitation will be from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Public visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to the time of the service.
