Barbara was born on May 4th, 1934 in Washington, D.C., sharing her birthday with her twin sister Winifred Black Donoho.
Barbara was in the graduating class of 1951 from Calvin Coolidge High School.
At the age of 17, she met and married William “Bill” Otto Landsgaard. They were married 57 years when her loving husband was called Home in December of 2008.
While Bill was overseas during the Korean War, Barbara worked in the offices of the Atomic Energy Commissions Department for the federal government. When Bill returned to the states, they began raising their family of three sons and one daughter. Through the years, they traveled with Bill's position with the FBI and lived in several cities before finally settling in Pensacola, Florida in 1960 and calling it home.
Barbara was a homemaker that took pride in her family and home. She loved her role in her family's life and embraced it with love and open arms always giving guidance and advice to her children and, eventually, to her grandchildren. Her door and heart were always open. Visitors and friends were encouraged to freely come and go. She created a home away from home for many. She loved everyone, and everyone loved her.
She enjoyed singing, reading, playing the piano, Sunday family dinners and spending time with her loved ones. She was an avid cross-stitcher creating many pieces of artwork that she often shared with
her children or friends. Pieces of artwork that are cherished, still, today.
She was an active member at Trinity Presbyterian Church and frequently volunteered in the office, served on the women's circle committees, and sang for many glorious years in the church choir.
Barbara is survived by her four children: William Steven Landsgaard, Thomas Lee Landsgaard (Rita), Gregory Allen Landsgaard (Nell Ann) and Julie Landsgaard Stokes (Michael)
She is survived by her beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she dearly cherished and loved: Grandchildren: Christopher Landsgaard, Andrew Landsgaard, Esten Landsgaard, Gunnar Landsgaard, Kelsey Landsgaard, Gregory Landsgaard, William Landsgaard, and Annie Landsgaard Hartsfield (Evan)

A special thanks to her son, Thomas Landsgaard, for ensuring she was in good hands and well taken care of, It was not always an easy task, and he performed his duties beautifully.
