Arnold Irvin Zinck

Mr. Arnold “Arnie” Irvin Zinck, son of the late Harold and Mona Zinck was born June 26, 1930, in Niagara Falls, New York. He quietly departed this life Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Pensacola, Florida.

He graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1948 and Memphis State College in 1954 with a BS in Chemistry.

Arnie was a proud veteran in the United States Air Force. Arnie had a long fulfilling career as a chemist and plant manager. Formerly, he was associated with Lake Serene Property Association, and he was also associated with West Lamar Water Association in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Arnie was an active volunteer for fourteen years in the Escambia County School District, primarily Lipscomb Elementary School, Ransom Middle School, and West Florida High School. He was an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy McGraw, and nephew, Eric McGraw. He was brother-in-law to JW McGraw. He was the devoted father of Dr. Sonia (Woody) Lott and Greg (Kate) Lyon, grandfather to Kristina, Aimee (Blake Perkins), Noah and Kaelyn Lott, Luke, John Patrick and Ava Lyon. Great grandfather to Bailey, Adalyn, Delphine and Chloe. Uncle to Arnold and Christy McGraw, Great Uncle to Callie and Junia McGraw, Carlie McGraw, and Great Great Uncle to Theo, Eleanor and Finn McGraw.

Arnie was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage.

Our father was a true role model who will always be our hero. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel at 10:00 am. The Celebration of Life service will be held at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 am.
