Mrs. Mattix was born to the late William “Red” Fahr and Ora Bell Crick, March 24, 1931, in Keiser, Arkansas and moved to Pensacola in 1952. She & her husband, Raymond Lee (Buddy) Mattix owned & operated Mattix Auto Service for over 50 years. She remained active and independent until her recent illness.
Juanita was a godly woman, full of unconditional love and kindness. She was quick with a listening ear and steadfastly prayed for her family and friends. She firmly believed that her life on this earth was a blessing but the true prize was a home in heaven. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ, Pensacola, FL.
Mrs. Mattix is survived by her two brothers: Verlin Leroy (Lee) Fahr, of Milton, Fla, and William Martin Fahr, of Oakland Tenn; her son, Doug Mattix; daughter in-law, Tonya Alger Mattix of Charlottesville VA; her daughter, Mary Ann Matzer; son-in-law, Joseph (Joe) Robert Matzer of Pensacola, Fla; grandchildren, Robert Timothy (Bob) Matzer & his wife, Joy Denise (Townsend) Matzer of Chelsea, AL; Matthew William Matzer & his wife, Jennifer Eney Matzer, of Pensacola, FL; Nathaniel Benjamin Matzer & his wife, Erica Carmelita Matzer, of Pensacola, FL; Kevin Mattix, Scott Mattix, Grace Mattix all three of Charlottesville VA; three great-grandchildren; Caleb Matzer of Chelsea, AL, Alexis Matzer & Ryan Matzer, both of Pensacola, FL
Brothers and Sisters that preceded her were Robbie C, James E, Christina, Willie Bell, John (JD) Dallas, Wilma Francis, Ora Pearl, Presley, Velva, Troy Alton, Donald and Douglas Lynn
