Ann was a "Guardian Angel" on the school bus for my husband when she was in High School at McKenzie and he in grammar.  She will always be remembered as a sweet caring person.  We were shocked at hearing of her death.  We loved her and looked forward to seeing and visiting with her.

   Dear Family, I was deeply saddened by the passing of your mother who I have known since I was a child.  Had I known when the services were going to be held, I would have been present.  I am so sorry I wasn't.
   I will miss her in church as she always looked for me.  I consider her and you more as family than I do as simply friends.  She is and was a dear, sweet, and compasionate lady who will always occupy a very special place in my heart. I will miss her dearly but know that she is now at home with God.

Dear Family, I was sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, Ann.  I've known her for a long time.  We came from the same home town in Garland,AL.  I have most special memories of seeing her and Franklin on the second Saturday of October at "Garland Day" our hometown reunion.
She was such a kind and special lady and with such grace.  I always felt better after seeing her or talking with her on the phone.  Her Christian spirit always lifted mine.  I will miss her.  You are in my prayers.

As far back as I can remember I knew Mrs.Ann Benson and family. She had a beautiful smile and I could  see her faith in action. She was a sharp lady and a true friend to the John D. Harris family. The most important fact is that she knew Jesus as her Saviour. She finished the race well. Well done, Mrs. Benson and now she is enjoying the presence of Jesus forever more. She was a bright spot in the life of my mother, Vada Kendrick, and a true friend to her and to our family.  I know she was my mother's best friend in the world.  I can still hear the laughter whenever she was around.  She was a great example of Christian love and our family loved her too.

What a blessing to see childhood friends as we gathered to celebrate the life of one of my "other mothers", Ann Benson. Dear Jack and Greg,  I just read about the passing of your mother.  I offer my condelences.  Your mother was always a pleasure to see.  She was so sweet.  I remember when she came to my Dads' funeral, I didn't know who she was.  Two days later it popped into my head.  I called her to apoligize and we had a great conversation.  Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you both.

Dear Sandra, Franklin, Jack, Greg and extended family members.  We want to extend our warmest condolences, prayers, thoughts and memories to you in this hour and the weeks to come. Anne was our mother's dearest friend for decades--Sue Nelson.  She was the penacle example of a christian woman--possessing so much love and kindness, which she would willingly bestow on all those she met. I will miss my backdoor neighbor Mrs. Benson greatly. She was an inspiration to me, showing us how to age gracefully. I couldn't keep up with her until the last few years finally slowed her down. She was a great example of the greatest generation and the way they worked hard and kept on going through the trials of life with faith and hope for the future. I hope we can learn from the examples that people like Ann gave us.

We were saddened to hear of Mrs. Benson's passing.  We rejoice in her life and service to God and her community.  The family is in our thoughts and prayers.  Thankfully, this is not "Good-bye", but "Until we meet again".

We send our prayers for God's comforting mercies as you grieve the loss of your beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother...  She was a precious, Christian lady who inspired us, as well other family members and many friends, through her love for God, service to others, vitality, friendliness and hospitality.  Ann was a loyal and long-time friend to my parents, John and Beverly Harris.  I take this opportunity to express their love, respect and appreciation of Ann.  Thankfully, we had the privilege of visiting Ann a few months ago when she was at Homestead Village.  She greeted us with cheerful smiles and warm, loving embraces, and we had a delightful time of fellowship!  Having known and stayed in touch with Ann through our visits to Pensacola has been an enriching experience.  We will be forever grateful for her life of faith and hope, especially during the last few years as we pursued full-time, overseas mission work.  She was a courageous lady and devoted friend and will be dearly missed.
