Andrew was born in Miami Beach, FL to Shirley and Howard Dixon. He grew up in Miami and graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High School in 1977. He graduated from Florida International University. Andy began his police career in 1980 with the Homestead Police Department. He joined the Miami Dade Police Department in 1981, where he served honorably for 29 years, ending his career as a Sergeant.
Andy was known for his kindness, wit and sense of humor. He always had enthralling stories to tell.
After retirement he moved to Pensacola where he was living his best life in the Panhandle - Fishing, boating, traveling, preparing exquisite cocktails and gourmet meals, and always enjoying food, friends and life.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Preeda Kanjanaphen Dixon; sister, Lesa Dixon Gray; cousins, and many, many loyal friends.
