Rita L. Genest

Family and friends are invited to attend Rita’s Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waterford, NY on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11 AM. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Keuka Comfort Care Home, PO Box 107, Penn Yan, NY 14527.

Rita was born December 13, 1919 in Waterford, NY, the daughter of the late Didace & Josephine Boudreau Lajeunesse. She loved being a homemaker and especially enjoyed cooking. Rita appreciated the supportive staff and her good friends at St. Mark’s Terrace. She was blessed with loving care that she received at Keuka Comfort Care Home.

She is survived by her children, Richard Genest of Schenectady, NY, Pamela (John) Miles of Penn Yan, NY and David Genest of Cape Cod, MA/Key West, FL; grandchildren, Jason (Rebecca) Miles of Macedon, NY, Christopher Miles of Asheville, NC, Jennifer (Kevin) McKie of Kingston, WA and Benjamin Genest of Boston, MA; great grandchildren, Ethan, Peyton, Jake and Finley Miles. Her husband Joseph R. Genest predeceased Rita on April 28, 2005.
