Family and friends may call on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00pm at the Prattsburgh United Methodist Church, 4 Porter St., Prattsburgh, NY. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Rebecca’s name to the Prattsburgh United Methodist Church.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Rebecca was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, most especially over the holidays. Rebecca was a graduate of Prattsburgh Central School and an active member of her community and church. She was a member of the Prattsburgh Flower Festival committee for years, in charge of organizing the parade. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the United Methodist Church in Prattsburgh. Rebecca enjoyed making cakes and made many beautiful creations to help celebrate momentous occasions.
Rebecca is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lester L. Hoose Sr. She is also survived by her sons, Lester L. Hoose Jr., Stephen (Deborah) Hoose, Timothy (Mary) Hoose and her daughters, Tammy (Neal) Robbins and Carrie (Toby) Malone. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, Stephen Hoose, Brandy Hawkins, Amanda Dowdle, James Hoose, Jesse Hoose, Rebecca Hoose, Chad Grover Sr., Crystal Meza, Adam Grover, Brittany Archibald, Chantel Best, Sarah Harris, Jeremiah Robbins and Abigail Malone. She had twenty two great-grandchildren, Makenna Hoose, Makayha Hoose, Jordan Miller, Braelynn Dowdle, Gianna Dowdle, Taylor Grover, Chad Grover Jr., Alexzondra Meza, Maysin Herman, Madelyn Herman, Wayde Meza, Tristan Meza, Caitlin Wilson, Adalynn Rivera, Tanner Smith, Zack Caito, Krista Caito, Alyssa Caito, Alexis Archibald, Paryker Harris, Pasleigh Harris and Ameera Best. She is also survived by her sister, Lucille Brownell.
Rebecca was predeceased by her grandchildren Rebecca Archibald and T.J. Hoose, her three brothers, James Dillon, Michael Dillon and George Dillon and her three sisters, Doris Clary, Martha Blow and Frances Woodard.
