Mike was born in Bath, NY on June 29th, 1962, the son of Bonnie (Thurston) Linehan and Michael D. Linehan Jr.
Growing up in Hammondsport, NY, Mike’s love of Keuka Lake and the entire Finger Lakes Region began at a very young age. Prior to becoming the President and CEO of the Yates County Chamber of Commerce, he held various positions in the tourism industry. His passion for tourism was evidenced by his involvement in many organizations statewide. An avid boater, Mike spent most Summer weekends on Keuka Lake with his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, closely following politics, traveling and spending time with his family. Mike never knew a stranger, greeting everyone with a warm smile and quite often with a huge hug.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Molly; daughters, Meaghan and Morgen; his mother, Bonnie Linehan of Penn Yan; father and step mother, Michael D. (Christine) Linehan Jr.of South Carolina; sisters, Elizabeth (David Pierre) Linehan of New York, Tracy Linehan of Pennsylvania, Emily (Ananda) Lantaff of Colorado, and Kathryn (Nico White) Linehan of Colorado; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, M. Ellen Naderer of Ohio; and sister-in-law, Sara Marker of Ohio. Mike was predeceased in life by his grandparents, Harold and Dorothy Thurston and M. Donald and Ruth Linehan.
Friends and family may call from 1 to 3pm and 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, February, 21st at the Townsend Wood Funeral Chapel. A service celebrating Mike's life will be held at Norton Chapel at Keuka College on Wednesday, February 22nd at 10am. Parking for the service is available at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex at 577 Assembly Ave., Keuka Park with shuttles available.
