Mary was born on August 5, 1914 in Italy Hill, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Keighley Ansley. With her husband, Elden Paddock, they owned a dairy farm on Italy Hill Road in Branchport for 25 years. She was an active member of the Branchport United Methodist Church and the Gu-Ya-No-Ga Chapter, NSDAR. She had also served on the Branchport Library Board, Cooperative Extension Board, and the Prattsburgh High School Alumni Association. She served the Republican Party as a town committee person for many years and was named Yates County Republican of the Year in 1996.
Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna & Bert Alexander of Middlesex; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas & Joan Paddock of Penn Yan; granddaughter Heather Alexander of Wedgefeild, SC; sister, Margaret Flynn of Penn Yan; and brother, Clarence Ansley of Penn Yan. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Elden Paddock and her sisters, Edith Ansley, Beulah Rapalee, Mable Frank, and Juanita Lindstrom and brother, Charles Ansley.

Friends and family may call from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm on Wednesday, January 4th at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel in Penn Yan. Her funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday January 5th at the Branchport United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barbara Gifford officiating. Burial will follow at Branchport Cemetery.
