William I. Turner

William Isaac Turner, age 90, a resident of the Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home in Pell City, AL, and a longtime resident of Vincent, AL, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 19, 2019. Mr. Turner was the second oldest child of the late John G. and Eunice Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Sara Jo Sims Turner, and three siblings.

Survivors include two sons: Neil Turner (Shree), and Mike Turner (Cheryl); three grandchildren, William Neil Turner Jr. (Katie), Kevin Turner, Andria Turner Walker (Patrick), seven great-grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at Macedonia North Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Jones and Rev. Travis Trimble officiating. Interment will be at Macedonia North Baptist Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be William Neil Turner Jr., Patrick Walker, Turner Walker, Gary Clinkscales, Sr., Randy Turner, and Jay Mathis.

The family wants to extend their thanks to the staff of the Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home for the outstanding care and love shown to Mr. Turner during the 2+ years he was a resident there. They also want to thank the staff of Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for the great care they provided.
