Sarah Harmon McKnight

Sarah H. McKnight, age 89, of Pell City, Alabama, passed into the arms of her savior on Thursday, January 19, 2023. She was a loving and committed mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her family and friends.

Sarah is survived by her sons: Louie C. McKnight (Terry) and Patrick L. McKnight (Michelle); grandchildren: Kristin, Lauren, Averielle, Ralph, Kaelin and Angela; great grandchildren: Elliott, Emma, June and Presley; brother: Randall Harmon (Vickie); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents: Eldred Joe Harmon and Bessie Irene Harmon; her husband: Louie V. McKnight; and siblings: Joe Dan Harmon, Elmer Harmon, Lyn Harmon, Sam Harmon and Jeraly Young.

Sarah was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors, gardening, flowers and watching birds. She loved family gatherings and visits from her friends.

Visitation for family will be Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 4:30 pm until 5:00 pm. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Kilgroe Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at New Hope Baptist Church on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Coosa Valley Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Paul Brasher and Rev. Jacque Snow officiating. A meal will be provided at New Hope Baptist Church following interment for family only. The family would like to thank Sarah’s nephews who are serving as pallbearers and her family and friends for your love, prayers and support.
