Judi Scott Denard (nee Richardson) age 80, of Pell City, Alabama passed away on Sunday, September 4th 2022. Judi was born in Birmingham on January 18th, 1942 to Edward & Mildred Richardson. She was raised in Trussville, Al until 7 years old when the Richardson’s moved to Homewood, AL where she attended Ramsey High School.
Judi raised two daughters with her deceased husband Mike Scott in Birmingham until 1972 when they moved to Atlanta, GA. Judi and Mike moved back to Birmingham in 1990 where Mike passed away in 1992. Judi remarried in 1996 to Carlton Denard. They took up residence on Logan Martin Lake in Pell City where she shared a wonderful life with the Denards.
Judi is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Thomas Michael Scott, daughter Tracy Scott-Cline, second husband Carlton A. Denard, as well as several dear life-long friends.
Judi is survived by her daughter, Parys Scott (Deirdre), granddaughter, Taylor Cline, sister, Shirley Hale Stucky as well as an extended family by marriage, and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Judi was an entrepreneur who owned and operated numerous small businesses ranging from a secretarial service, a gift shop, creative art fabrics, JUDE Construction, and specialized skincare products.
Judi deeply cherished her friendships, people, travel, music, dancing, art, Alabama football, boating, worshiping at Chapel in the Pines, tooling-around on her golf cart, and believed in living life to the absolute fullest! Her spirit will be deeply missed by all of those who loved her.
A celebration of life party will be held on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 at Louie's Grill in Pell City, Alabama. Additional details to follow.
