Janet is survived by her children, Janet Weldon Jones (Jimmy), Joann Weldon Richey (Gerry), and James Michael Weldon (Lisa); grandchildren, Alex Jones, Carren Jones Wright (Mike), Jacob Jones (Charity), April Richey Womack (Bo), and Michael Richey (Jenny); great grandchildren, Ella Richey, Caroline Richey, Samuel Wright, Emerson Wright, Lily Kate Jones, and William Weldon Jones.
Janet was preceded in death by her father, George Burks, mother, Lorene Gallups Burks Howell, and stepfather, Clarence Howell.
A visitation will be 10:00am to 11:00 am Tuesday, December 03, 2024, at First United Methodist Church of Pell City followed by a graveside service at 11:30am at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Cemetery.
