Gloria Self

Pell City – Funeral service for Gloria Dean Self, age 73, will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from the chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday. Interment will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Self is survived by her husband, Walter Self; sons, Scott Pardue (Kim) and Steve Pardue (Kim); daughters, Lisa Walton and Connie Washington (Jack); sister, Mary Ferguson (Mike); grandchildren, Daniel (Ally), Leighann (Matt), Wesley (Laura), Brooke (Rico), Justin (Amelia), Seth, and Chase; great-grandchildren, Allisa, Olivia, Addison, Steven, Brynlee, Rylan, Coleman, Collin, Luke; and life-long friends, Dot, Helen, Fay, and a host of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Pearson; brothers, James and Elijah; and her sister, Racheal Moncreif.

Gloria was always faithful to her church, Moody Freewill Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She loved her family and friends and never met a stranger. She would always tell others about Jesus. Gloria Worked with United Chair for many years.
