George Reid Martin Jr.

ODENVILLE – Funeral Service for George Reid Martin, Jr., age 66, will be held Saturday, September 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Coosa Valley Church of God. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Church.

Mr. Martin passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Reid Martin, Sr. and Hildegarde Bradley; one granddaughter, Ashley McDonald; brother, Billy Walker; sister, Sue Dobbs; brother-in-law, Joe Falkner; sister-in-law, Mary Walker.

Retired from US Army and served in the Vietnam Era. Retired from State of Alabama Criminal Justice System. He was a “master of all trades”.

He is survived by 3 sons, Scott Martin (Nikki), Nathan Nichols (Christi), Brandon Beck (Beth); 8 grandchildren, Preston, Aulton, Emery, Adrian, Gabriel, Avril, Bradlee, Blayklee; brother, Johnny Wheeler (Judy); brother-in-law, Richard Dobbs; sister-in-law, Alice Falkner; beloved caregiver, Dawn Traylor; many nieces and nephews that he loved.
