Dave Sherman, retired Navy veteran, of Birmingham, AL, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018. Dave served our country through the United States Navy for 6 ½ years before he was honorably discharged with a physical disability. He went on to graduate with an associates degree in Applied Science from Jefferson State Community College. In his spare time, he enjoyed coaching multiple youth baseball teams in both Mobile, Alabama, and the surrounding areas of Birmingham. He served as the park president of Municipal Park while living in Mobile, Alabama, and proudly took a team to the Dixie Youth Baseball World Series.
The greatest honor Dave passed down to his children and grandchildren is to honor and love our great country. He taught them to put family first, never take things for granted, and to stand firm in their faith. He was a man who loved his family well and valued the time he spent with them.
