William Grant Kennedy

William Grant Kennedy, age 53 passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024. He was born on July 4,1970, to Donna Jean Kennedy and William Glenn Kennedy. Grant received his formal education at Homewood High School. He furthered his education at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Grant was a believer of Christ.

Grant was a kind and gentle soul who loved his family. His hobby was music. His two favorite things were going to the beach and going to his sister's house for Christmas. He especially enjoyed his mother's home cooking. Grant had a passion for his dogs, Baker and Gracie. When he was younger, his hobby was water skiing at his grandparents lake home. He could barefoot at the age of five. All the people that were close to him loved him.

Grant was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse Earl and Ruth Kennedy and James Madison and Mavel Lea Bryan; aunt, Delois C. Kennedy; uncles, James Madison Bryan Jr and Jeffrey Grant Bryan.

He is survived by his parents, William G. Kennedy (Susan) and Donna Jean Kennedy; his sister, Kelli Kennedy Easterling (Jon); nieces and nephew, Austin, Taylor, and Kennedy Easterling; cousins, Kara Kennedy, Kim Hagan, Jessica Cheek (Chris), Adam Bryan (Amanda), Miranda Bryan Acres (John), Michelle Bryan, Ryan Alexander (Megan) and Hannah Alexander; uncles, Houston E. Kennedy and Robert Keith Kennedy (Sharon); aunt, Debbie Bryan Alexander (Herbert).

A visitation will be held at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, May 11 at 12:30 pm, followed by a chapel service at 1:30 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Ridout's Forest Hill Cemetery, 431 60th St. N., Birmingham, AL 35212.
