She was a long-time resident of Hoover and was in the last graduating class of W.A. Berry High School in 1994. "WendiBell," as she was so lovingly called by family and friends, was an amazing and loving mother to her daughter, Madeleine Grace Bell-Colpack. Wendi was a supportive daughter, caring sister, and an amazing aunt. She was truly a blessing and a friend to all she met. Wendi was preceded in death by her grandparents, G.B. "Papaw" Green, Elsie "Mamaw" Green, Helen "Gran" Bell, and T.P. "Grandaddy" Bell. Survivors include her parents, Terry W. Bell (Linda) of Wilsonville and Diane G. "Dee Dee" Gates of Hoover; sisters, Kerri Pate (Doug) of Maylene and Jessica McKinney (Cody) of Clanton; brother, Michael W. Bell of Hoover; many step-siblings; and step-grandmother, Doris Green of Fairhope. Also surviving Wendi are two nieces, Savannah Gossett and Ellouise Pate; two nephews, Sawyer Pate and Judson McKinney; one nephew on the way; and Wendi's kitten, Olive. Wendi had a very deep appreciation for music and the arts, and an extremely giving spirit. Through her donations to the Alabama Organ Center, her legacy of life will live on. Family and friends will celebrate Wendi's life with a 3 p.m. memorial service on Monday, June 20, 2011 in the chapel of Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham.
