Wallace R. Johnson
May 21, 1930 – July 10, 2020
IN THE CARE OF
Wallace R. Johnson of Hoover, AL passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020, at the age of 90, just six days after his beloved wife, Doris.
He was born on May 21, 1930, to the late Thomas and Willie Johnson. Wallace was an Army veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division, having served during the Korean War. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and retired from US Steel. Wallace was also a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Richard Johnson; his daughter, Mitzi J. Fontenot; and one grandson, Donovan Johnson.
Wallace will be laid to rest next to his wife, at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, with military honors. Family will accept friends on Monday, July 13, 2020, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL.
