Virginia "Fran" Francine Boyd

Fran Boyd, age 66, of Calera, Al passed away peacefully at her home on December 18, 2019. She was born in West Virginia to Francis and Betty Scyoc on April 11, 1953. Fran enjoyed reading in her spare time and in later years adapted to enjoying audio books. Her most favorite pastime of all is spending time with her loving family and making memories to last forever. She was a wonderful homemaker to her family and a strong independent business woman that gained the trust of everyone she met. Fran is predeceased by her brother, Donald Crawford; children Vernon Lee Boyd II and Brian Kristopher Boyd. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Vernon Boyd; daughter, Renee Decker (Shawn); sister, Barbara Swiger; brother, Robert Scyoc; grandchildren, Christian Lee and Shawna Renee Decker, and Marlee Ann and Tucker Franklin Boyd; great-grandchild, Isaac Kristopher Washington. Visitation will be Monday, December 23, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Fran's life beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Internment will be at Memory Hill Gardens in Tuscaloosa, AL at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Hospital.
