Terry Lynn Dillard was born on March 19, 1954 to W. B. "Bud" Dillard and Betty Jean Hood in Birmingham, AL. He went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2021 at 3:30 am due to a long fight with Parkinson’s and other illnesses.
He attended Midfield Elementary and Jones Valley High School in Jefferson County. Terry furthered his education by achieving a Bachelor of General Studies at Samford University in May of 1996. He then pursued a Master's Degree in Education with emphasis in counseling and finishing in 1998. His love was helping people have better marriages through counseling and communication.
Terry married Fredia Fuller on December 17, 1977 at Sycamore United Methodist Church. They would have been married 44 years on the 17 of this month and year. Theirs was a true love story, honoring God and each other faithfully.
Terry was not a member of a local church due to his disability, but he was a child of God and loved the Lord and His people. During his life, Terry was a photographer, gospel singer and bass player, administrative clerk, student, bus driver for an elder care business, a web designer, and so many other things. His last 17 years were spent as an administrative clerk at UAB. Terry had many interests. His three favorites were - clowning, being a fan/follower of Sonny James and the Southern Gentlemen, and HAM radio. He was also a member of Mensa for a short while.
Terry Lynn Dillard was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother. He is survived by Fredia Fuller Dillard, his wife, and Judy Averette Dillard, his sister-in-law, many cousins, and loyal and loving friends.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Helena City Cemetery. Per family request, please dress casually for Terry's Celebration of Life service.
