My heart is absolutely broken for the Piggott family!! I cherish all of the childhood memories that included Stephanie!! From the softball field to the Hunstville Space Station to the swimming pool we always had so much fun together!! So thankful to have known her growing up!!

The world lost an amazing soul, I'm glad I was able to be around you and experience your amazing vibe, you where always smiling always so up beat and those beautiful eyes, You will be dearly missed. My condolences to the Piggott family for there Loss. Rest easy steph

Susan, David and Shannon,  my prayers for you that God may comfort you at this time.  Stephanie's accomplishments were many, her travels far, and her smile contageous. She will continue to bring a smile every time we think of her.

I met Stephanie at Thompson high school, she was a year ahead of me. I remember her always smiling and wanting to learn Spanish, she loved my culture (from Mexico) she was a great dancer and I was always too shy to dance in public, I ran into her one year at "fiesta latina" in Birmingham and I remember her telling me " just close your eyes, listen to the music and pretend no one is watching" now I dance all the time! I will miss you beautiful chica!

Thinking about you and your sweet family! Your sister was gorgeous inside and out and I'm so thankful I had the chance to meet her! I'm so sorry shannon!

I taught Stephanie Spanish at Thompson.  What an amazing young lady! She had a very unusual appreciation of culture and people.  It was a blessing to know and teach her. I am praying for you and your family, knowing that the Lord can carry you through this very difficult time.

Dear Piggott family -

There are no words that can be said to ease such pain. Only trusting in the Lord and seeking his presence can provide comfort and explanation.  I have to say that I am so proud of Stephanie, because she proved her character all the way to the end by never gave giving up. She was a great friend and daughter. The world has lost a truly beautiful, inspiring human being. We didn't know each other for long in South Korea, but it wasn't hard to be affected by your bubbly personality and absolutely positive, glowing energy. You will forever be one of the strongest and most positive people I have ever met and I'm sorry I never got to tell you enough how much your bravery inspired me. I see the world through different, brighter eyes thanks to you. My thoughts are with your family and friends. I hope it's at least some comfort to see how many lives you've touched and how many people out there adore you, whether they knew you for a week or a lifetime, you impacted all of them in the best way. We are so saddened about the news of Stephanie. We have so many years of fun memories with Stephanie and the girls playing softball. When I think of Stephanie I always smile. She was always so sweet and always smiling herself. My prayers are with your family.

I want to extend my deepest condolences and healing, loving energy to Susan, David, Shannon and all members of Stephanie's huge clan of loved ones. No words, no pretty pictures, no sounds to express the pain of losing someone so magnificent as Stephanie. I can't justify a woman so vibrant, loving, compassionate, and brave being taken so young.
All I know is that Steph is free now. Free from a body that could no longer contain her beautiful light. I know for certain we were all blessed to have basked in her radiance. Every one who truly knew her knows how she gave her heart to every one and every thing she was involved in. Every one knows how much she loved her family, her students and her family of friends and how much we all love her. How much she loved playing dress-up, teaching children, adventure, travel, music, dancing and festivals.
I am grateful that Steph made the most of her time. Living out her dream of teaching internationally. I'm grateful that she spent her life mostly exploring, loving, learning, playing, growing, and inspiring others do the same.
May her loving, brave, vivacious, spunky, child-like energy forever flow through every one of us and may we follow her lead in embracing the world with love, learning and creativity.

My heart broke when I heard the news, my life was impacted the second you walked into my life! I know we had our ups and downs but you changed my life for the better forever! You were always so calm cool and collected, you've experienced so much life that little stressful things didn't effect you. I miss you dearly! My most favorite memory of you was the first night we moved into our Ybor house, we had the most random furniture and zero food.. So what did we do? We went to a gas station.. Got peanut butter, jelly and bread... Haha got back home and realized we didn't have plates or silverware! Turned out to be one of the best nights ever! We turned on music and feed each other the messiest pb&j's! Ahhh what a mess... But one of the messiest memories I will never forget! I wish I could have done things differently more than anything. You were such a bright, talented, creative, and most influential person I have ever gotten the pleasure to know! You will never be forgotten Stephanie, every time I look up at the beautiful sky I think of you. Rest in peace my beautiful friend. I love you, forever and always!

My heart breaks for the loss of your sweet daughter, sister, and friend. Mrs. Susan, Shannon, Stephanie, and myself visited a haunted house (Netherworld, I believe) in Atlanta, Georgia a few years ago. It was and still is, the first and probably last horror house that I will ever attend. I was completely freaked out by the thought of venturing through such a dark scary place filled with hidden creepy crawlers. Stephanie, Susan, and Shannon were my cheerleaders every step of the way. They let me sandwich between them and guided me through not one, but two, houses filled with screams and flashes (my nightmare). I am glad we did it though and I'm thankful to have that memory with your family. Stephanie had such a big pretty smile and a heart to match. She had so many supporters that will forever remember her legacy. Rest In Peace Stephanie.

Fearlessness, nurtrance, playfulness, creativity, freedom. I'm grateful for each moment I got to spend with you here on Earth. To learn from you, to grow alongside you. There was something invigorating and liberating about hearing you say "that's my bess frann!" You helped me see the strength inside me that was there all along. Words cannot suffice, to have felt a love like ours is a blessing. I will miss your laugh, your love, your soul's wisdom, being here in this physical plane. However, I feel you in every moment. I had the privilege of meeting Stephanie through the EPIK program in Korea. I know people always say this, but she really was so sweet. She was amazing. She was always organizing gatherings. I still remember how much fun we had at the Zombie walk together! I was having such a hard time making friends, but I knew me and her shared the same kind of light. She was special. She was awesome. And, when she left Korea, I often thought about her. I'm so glad she got to share her light and do as many things as she had the opportunity to do. Stephanie will forever be in my heart and thoughts...that cool girl I met in Korea.

Stephanie was such a sweet person. I haven't seen her since high school but I still remember her smile. Prayers to her family.

Stephanie was one the most majestic and beautiful person I have ever known inside and out. She was my best friend in the truest form.
