Sharon spent her life declaring and living the good news of the Gospel. In her 25 years of service at Hunter Street Baptist Church, Sharon touched countless lives with her vibrant spirit and zeal and led many to know the freedom in grace and redemption she found in her Savior, Jesus Christ. Sharon delighted in the Lord, shared a genuine love and care for people, and was unwavering in her faith and service, even in the midst of illness.
While her family grieves and will miss her dearly, they celebrate the promise that her faith has become sight, her prayers have become praise, and her pain has been wiped away in the fullness of God’s glory.
Praise for her life is given by her husband Charles Jordan; her parents Billy and Mary Ann Cooke; her brother Wayne Cooke and his wife Debbie; her sister Cathy Cooke; her son Jared; son Justin and his wife Rebecca and their son Bentley; stepdaughter Kimberly and her husband Robert and their children Rebekah, Sam, and Rachel; her stepson Charles and his son Aiden; her stepson Andrew; stepson Kevin and his wife Laura and their children Charlotte and Jack; her stepson Benjamin and his wife Hope and their son Finn; her nephew Jason Cooke, and nieces Cierra Bragan and Abby Venkler.
A service in celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5 at Hunter Street Baptist Church, 2600 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover. Visitation will precede the service at 9 a.m.
