Shannon Ridgeway Lamoureux Childers

Shannon Ridgeway Lamoureux Childers, age 53, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. She was born on April 14, 1970, to the union of Harold L. Ridgeway and Sandra T. Ridgeway.

Shannon received her formal education at Berry High School in Hoover, AL. She furthered her education at Birmingham, Southern College with a degree in psychology in Birmingham, AL. Shannon was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi.

Shannon R. Lamoureux was married to Joey B. Childers on April 29, 2021.

She was employed by Rocky Ridge Fire District for 13 years.

In her leisure, she enjoyed music, being at the lake with family and friends, her pets and plants, but above all she adored her children, Russ and Emma, and cherished spending time with them.

Shannon was preceded in death by her father, Harold L. Ridgeway and her sister, Sandi Lynn Ridgeway.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Joey Childers; children, Russ Lamoureux (Virginia) and Emma Lamoureux; her mother, Sandra Ridgeway; sister, Susan Bartlett; nieces and nephews, Melinda Bartlett (Danielle), Sophie Kate, Ridge, and Chris Bartlett; aunt, Bobbie HIll and many other family and friends.

A visitation for Shannon will be held Friday, November 10, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. The family will have a private graveside at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
