ROGERS, SANDRA LYNN, was born in Sheffield, Alabama. The daughter of Claribel Hunt and Norbert A. Spalding, Sandi graduated from Sheffield High School and then attended Samford University. She married David P. Rogers Jr. on November 20, 1963, and moved to Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, David P. Rogers, and her son, Charles Drew Rogers. Survivors include Sandi's three sons, David P. (Sonya) Rogers III, Bert (Jane) Rogers and Brett Rogers; grandchildren, Jordan E. Rogers, David P. Rogers IV, Katie L. Rogers, Carson S. Rogers, Brooks H. Rogers, Kelsey A. Rogers, and Perri K. Rogers; and sisters, Norma Clare Pyron, Suzy Spalding-Robbins and husband Bill, and Sherrie Lee Berry. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 10-11 a.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The service will start at 11 a.m. in Southern Heritage Chapel.
