Ruth Lenore Barron

Some of Ruth's honors and accomplishments included that of Corner High School head cheerleader, football queen, and FHA president. Her service to the South Roebuck Community was highlighted by the achievements realized from the leadership and contributions she provided as PTA president of both the William J Christian Elementary School and Banks High School, as well as to the South Roebuck Athletic Park Board and South Roebuck Community Garden Club.

Ruth was a beloved homemaker. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Barron, and is survived by her two children, Elana Barron Bryant (Rick) and Perry Barron (Diane); three grandchildren, Jacob Reynolds (Brittany), Lauren Barron, and Lacie Butler (Chase); and one sister, Faye Sellers Economes.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 1:15 p.m. at the Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.
