Ron was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on 12 February 1950. He grew up in Sheffield, Alabama. He lived in Pelham, Alabama for 45 years before relocating to Daphne.
Ron attended Samford University, where he studied psychology and French and was a part of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He later completed his Master of Social Work at the University of Alabama. He was married to Janet Evans Kendall for 48 years. Together they raised two sons, Jason and Jacob.
Ron is survived by his wife, Janet; his father, James Allen Kendall; his son, Jason (Kandi); his son, Jacob (Emily); and grandchildren, Boston, Brynli, and Beckham. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Gibbons Kendall.
Ron was a mental health professional in Alabama for over 40 years. He was a member of Crosscreek Baptist Church in Pelham for 36 years. He was a lifelong Alabama fan and season ticket holder for over 40 years.
The visitation will be held at Crosscreek Baptist Church at 600 Crosscreek Trail, Pelham, AL 35124 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, 21 October 2021. Immediately following the visitation, there will be a memorial service at Crosscreek at 6 p.m.
