He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, Philippines.
Roberto was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, Alabama. He was married to Zaida Aguam on January 22, 1966. Their union was blessed with 4 children.
Roberto was a Professional Mechanical Engineer for 45 years. He was employed by Monsanto Enviro Chem in Chicago, IL. He transferred to the St. Louis, MO location and ultimately changed companies and worked for Rust International in Birmingham, Alabama.
In his leisure, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Zaida, listening to music of different genres that ranged from classic rock, to classical music to marching band music. He also enjoyed seeing his grandkids and great grandkids. His eyes would light up with joy just at the sight of them, especially during annual trips to the beach.
Roberto Angeles was preceded in death by his parents, Gonzalo Angeles and Rosario Angeles; aunt, Esther Angeles; brother, Ben Angeles, and sister, Nene Burns.
He is survived by his wife, Zaida; children, Monique Montenegro (Mike), Dominic Angeles (Jackie), Portia Perrucci (Dominic) and Robert Angeles (Sabah); grandchildren, Taylor, Anna, Lilly, Frank, Sean, Luke, Emily, Gabriel, Brett, Joseph, Mykhail, and Elijah; great-grandchildren, Brantley and Lettie; cousins, Ann Belarmino, Ray Belarmino, Paul Belarmino, Nini Mariano, Gloria Asuncion, and other relatives in the U.S. and Philippines.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 10:00 am. Followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
