Jeff was born on February 14, 1961 in Anniston, Alabama. As a child, he grew up in Richmond, Virginia. His teen-aged and young adult years were spent in Birmingham, Alabama. He returned to Virginia to earn his MBA, followed by employment as an applications support manager for Envision Experience. He continued working for them when his illness brought him back to Alabama.
Jeff was predeceased by his father, Robert P. Pruett; paternal grandparents, Mamie and Pet Pruett; and maternal grandparents, Emma and Joseph Burn.
Survivors include Jeff's mother, Mary Sue Burn Pruett of Alabaster; one sister, Dr. Pamela S. Pruett of Alabaster; and best friends, Rick and Amber Cosby of Chelsea, Alabama.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Montevallo, Alabama. The graveside service will be that same day at 2 p.m. at Highland Cemetery in Anniston, Alabama.
