Bob was born on 10/5/39 to Roscoe & Dot Price in Birmingham, AL. Bob attended West End High School, and went on to attend Auburn University obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He had a successful career at Rust Engineering for 30+ years, and gained several lifelong friends from his time there. Bob married Karen Smith on 6/8/68 and they built a beautiful life together. They had two children & three grandsons (four, if you include his granddog, Bentley), and their feisty Yorkie, Muffin. They loved to travel and took many exciting trips, including the annual Price family cruise. Bob was known for his wit and kindness. He would deliver one-liners out of nowhere that would make you belly laugh. He always made sure his family and friends were ok and taken care of...he would help anyone with anything. Bob was a staple of the Southlake neighborhood, and could be seen on his daily walk with Muffin where he would stop and talk with his neighbors and friends along the way. He loved watching his kids and grandsons play sports, and would go to most every game - he even coached Pam's softball team back in the day, and led them to many victories. He loved Auburn football & basketball, and loyally cheered them on. He sure loved his family & friends, and we all sure loved him.
Bob had a huge fan club and is survived by his wife, Karen; children Pam & Mark (wife Janna); grandsons Carter, Logan & Sawyer; brother Buddy (wife Faye); and many cousins, extended family & friends. Bob was a Christian and attended Valleydale Baptist Church. This sweet, wonderful, gentle, precious, kind, hilarious, handsome, generous, loving, amazing man will always be loved, appreciated and missed.
John 11:25-26
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.
Romans 10:9-10
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
