Robert Alvin Boyd

Born in Birmingham, AL, he was the son of Allie and Ethel Boyd. He graduated from Shades Valley High School class of 1967 and the University of Alabama class of 1971. He owned and operated the CPA firm Yeager and Boyd for almost 40 years.

He belonged to First Christian Church, cofounded the Shelby county UA Alumni Association and member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed, playing golf, reading and spending Saturdays watching Alabama football. He will be remembered for his never-ending love and dedication to friends and family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Bobby was preceded in death of his parents Allie Cosper and Ethel Francis, and brother Dr. Allie Boyd. He is survived by his loving wife Faye Boyd, his children Nikki Solomon (Slater), Bobby Boyd Jr. (Stephanie). His grandchildren Kelwyn & Adeline Solomon, Bobby III & Stella Boyd, Maddie Lynn. One great grandchild Dominic Olvera. His is also survived by sister, Mary Dizon and brother Charles Boyd.

A funeral service will be held at First Christian Church, 4954 Valleydale Rd. Birmingham, AL 35242, on Friday November 15, 2019 at 2:00 pm with a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Graveside service will be held at Southern Heritage Cemetery at 3:00 pm.

Memorial Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to First Christian Church on 4954 Valleydale Road or the American Cancer Society.
