Peggy F. Fields

Peggy Fletcher Fields was born on December 7, 1931, to the union of Robert and Anna Marie Fletcher in Birmingham, AL. Peggy received her formal education at Fairfield High School. Peggy was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church. She was married to William "Bill" Allen Fields, on June 18, 1953. She was employed by Social Security Credit Union as a Loan Officer where she retired. In her leisure she enjoyed card games including, Bridge. She was a member of a Bridge club for over 20 years. Peggy loved to bake and was known for her delicious brownies. She loved watching Alabama football and softball. Peggy was a member of the Women's Circle at Bluff Park United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was also active with her alumni association at Fairfield High School.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, William "Bill" Allen Fields. She leaves to cherish her memory; daughters, Dianne Fields Vaughn (Austin) and Luanne Fields Miller (Keene); grandchildren, Sara Marie Miller, Molly Vaughn Norwood, William Sutherland Miller and a great-grandson, Thomas (Brooks) Norwood; sister, Roberta Fletcher Parker.

Visitation will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7 from 1:00-2:00 pm. A memorial service will be announced at a later time and date. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Bluff Park United Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
