Peggy graduated from Hueytown High School. She was a member of Shades Mountain Bible Church for 23 years, and Mountain Brook Community Church for 7 years. She began and ended her career at Alabama Power, where she worked for 36 years. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Kyle David Huey, Sr, and Nina Marie Huey nee Verchot.
She is survived by her husband, George Chadbourne of Wilsonville, AL; brother K.D. (Camellia) Huey, Jr. of Jasper, AL; daughters, Sandra Cardenales and Wanda Spears, both of Wilsonville, AL; grandchildren, Lindsey (Greg) Kilgore of Jasper, AL, and Kimberly Zeigman of Conroe, TX; and great-grandchildren, Summer Zeigman of Conroe, TX, and Lily and Meg Kilgore, both of Jasper, AL.
A celebration of Peggy’s life will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday, August 22 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior. Burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
