Nell W. Neely

Nell W Neely, age 93 passed away on March 31, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family at her bedside. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Alabaster. She is survived by 2 daughters, Ellen Neely of Pelham, AL and Kathey (David) N. Hairston of Alabaster, AL; 2 grandchildren, Andrew E Hairston and Katherine Hairston. Nell was very active in her church in the children’s department; she touched the lives of many adults as well as many children. She never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. Nell was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Nell always maintained a positive spirit and attitude and an unwavering commitment to the Lord and to his faithfulness. The family would like to thank New Beacon Hospice and Anitra Burgess for their excellent love and care for mom in her last days. Visitation will be Monday April 4, 2016 from 1:30 to 3 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. Following visitation there will be a celebration of life service in the chapel at 3pm. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the children’s department at First Baptist Church of Alabaster.
