Michael Eric Robbins, 15, of Hoover, Alabama passed away Monday, October 4, 2021. He was born on November 8, 2005 in Daytona Beach, Florida and resided in the Birmingham, Alabama area since 2009. He was greatly loved by his parents, Eric Matthew Robbins and Sharon Kaye Howell Robbins of Hoover, and his older brother, Matthew Thomas Robbins of Auburn, Alabama.
Michael was a sophomore in Hoover at Spain Park High School, where he was a member of the student government association. He was active in the youth group and volunteering in the preschool department at Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea, Alabama.
Michael cherished time he spent with his brother, Matthew, and also enjoyed spending time with his pups, Snap and Tinkerbell, traveling with family, gaming with friends, fishing, collecting and admiring watches with his father, playing guitar, and writing.
In addition to his parents and brother, Michael is survived by his grandparents, Hal D. and Kaye Howell of Lorena, Mississippi, and Steve and Jean Robbins of Biloxi, Mississippi; uncles and aunts, Karen and Steven Welch of Pulaski, Tennessee, and Jason Robbins of Biloxi; great-uncle and great-aunts, O. Sue and L.R. White of Mize, Mississippi, Terry and Ann Moulder of Starkville, Mississippi, David and Bobbie Moulder of Pisgah, Mississippi, Vicki and Nolon Saucier (Mary and Anna) of Niceville, Florida, John and Lisa Stojcich of Biloxi, and Betty and Alfred Roberts of Biloxi; and cousins, Coty (Kaylee, Asher) Welch of Charlotte, North Carolina, Katherine (Conrad, Leo) Pfeiffer of Pulaski, and Nolon Ray and Tiffany (Nolon Ray IV) Saucier of Gulfport, Mississippi.
Michael was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Verna and Ray Carter of Biloxi; maternal great-grandparents, Henrietta and John Stojcich of D’Iberville, Mississippi; and great-grandparents, R.C. and Ulma Howell of Mize, and C. Dale and Delsie Moulder of Lorena, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held at Liberty Baptist Church of Chelsea, Alabama on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10 a.m. with the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary. The family extends an invitation to all attendees to celebrate and honor Michael at a luncheon in the East Venue immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Ronald McDonald House, or Sanctuary Animal Rescue.
