She is survived by her mother and step-father, Faye and Warren Mizelle; her father, James Adams; her loving husband, Russell Hardy; her daughters, Lauren Schencker (Logan), Blakely Lowery (Daniel), and Shelby Hardy; her siblings, Vicki and Jay Adams; and her four grandchildren.
Melanie will be remembered as a brave, intelligent, and beautiful soul who lit up any room she walked into. She made everyone's day a little brighter and always strived to exemplify Christ-like behavior.
Visitation will be 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL, immediately followed by A Celebration of Melanie's Life at 1 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
