Marcus T. Pierce Sr.

Marcus received his formal education at Semmes High School in Semmes, Alabama. He was married to Bonnie Singleton on November 16, 1962, in Mobile, Alabama. Their union was blessed with 5 children. Marcus was employed by CSX Transportation as a yard master for 40 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In his leisure, he enjoyed playing the piano, singing, fishing, yard work, and Alabama football.

Marcus was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bonnie, and sister and brother.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his children, Pam Worsham (Ed), Marcus Jr., (Micki), Ginger Robison (James), LeighAnne Seay, Scott (Myra); 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces, and many close friends he called family.

Visitation will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Friday, November 3, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Quinnelly Family Cemetery in Quitman, MS at 3:00 p.m.
