Linda was born in Alabama to the late Pauline Sebert and John Edwards. She worked many years in the mortgage industry until her retirement, where she received multiple awards for achievements and service.
Linda enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking and traveling. But her favorite place was the beach. Later in life she loved relaxing in her backyard garden listening to the sound of the waterfall of her koi pond and playing with her constant companion, Bailey.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, and her son Charles (Chuck) James Phillips Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Joel Wayne Phillips; and Preston Keith Wallace (Jodi); along with her sister, Jenny Sue Barnes. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Linda will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home & Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, Alabama 35124, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given the Lupus Foundation of America.
