Linda F. Lind

She was born in Miami, FL and moved to Birmingham, AL for college and graduated from UAB in nursing. In 1975 she married the love of her life Steve and they were happily married for 40 years. She went on to work at Children’s Hospital and Brookwood Hospital where she retired in 2012. She & her husband Steve enjoyed spending their free time at their condo in Stillwaters at Lake Martin. She loved watching her Auburn Tigers Football and working out. Linda was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, friends, and her Boston Terrier, Lily. Her three grandsons brought her so much happiness. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Lind is preceded in death by her son, Donald Lind; and by her parents, Donald Freeman, Jr. and Louanna Freeman. She is survived by her husband, Steve Lind; daughter, Michelle Olson (Keith); brothers, Don Freeman (Cathy) and Bill Freeman (Jean); sister, Terri Olson (Dan); grandchildren, Parker, Cole and Mason Olson; sisters-in-law, Robin McCay (Joe) and Jenny White; and nieces and nephews, Meredith, Matt, Brooke, Nick and Sydni.

The celebration of Linda’s life will be at 3pm on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Asbury United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Wednesday evening at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
