Kenneth L. Weis was born February 14, 1935. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on February 27, 2021 at the age of 86. He grew up in Berkeley, California and was nicknamed, "The California Kid". He proudly served the US Navy and received honorable discharge in 1958. He loved Alabama football and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1964. He was a member of the City Sales Club. He also had a successful career at Southern Heritage and achieved million dollar club status. Ken would light up a room when he entered. He always had a funny joke or a magic trick that would captivate any audience. He enjoyed to hear laughter and see those around him happy and enjoying life. He was very crafty and could fix anything.
He is survived by his spouse of 60 years, Sylvia Weis. He was a wonderful caregiver to his wife for many years. He is also survived by four children Jeff Weis (Karen), Rod Weis, Vicky Pintaro (Frank), Karen Devall (Glen), and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Phillip Weis, sibling Frances Kennedy, father James Francis Weis, and mom Gladys Irene Lieurance.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 2 from 12-1 at Southern Heritage in Pelham. Service to follow from 1-2. Private burial at Elmwood Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity or Make a Wish Foundation.
