Joseph Robert Hurst

Joe graduated from Sheffield High School and earned his undergraduate degree in Business from the University of North Alabama. His professional career was in shoe sales for Hibbett Sporting Goods, New Balance, and Rocky Brands.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, Robert Harold Hurst and Ethel Yvonne Burnett Hurst, and his mother-in-law, Mary Frances Caldwell.

Survivors include Joe's wife, the former Dianna Frances Caldwell, to whom he was married on December 31, 1981; three children, Ashley Nichole Hurst, Robert Kyle Hurst (Lyndsay Price Hurst), and Anderson Reid Finch (Lee Taylor Finch); three grandchildren, Alexander Robert Casiday, Isabel Alise Casiday, and Vann Robert Hurst; and two sisters, Betty Hurst Phillips (David Phillips) and Susan Hurst Brocato (Tony Brocato). Joe is also survived by his father-in-law, James Caldwell; sister-in-law, Denise Holden (Kent Holden); and brothers-in-law, Jim Caldwell (Alison Caldwell) and Josh Caldwell (Staci Caldwell).

Joe's family will greet friends from 6-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Following the visitation will be A Service of Remembrance for Joe at 7 p.m. at the funeral home's chapel.
