John Steven Harry Jr went to be with Jesus September 2, 2021. Steven was born on August 18, 1972 to Steve and Elaine Harry in Roanoke, Alabama. He graduated from Prattville High School and furthered his education at Auburn University earning both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Steven met his wife, Wendy while at Auburn, and they were married March 16, 1996. Steven worked at the Alabama Power Company for 24 years. Steven and Wendy were members at Faith Presbyterian Church and have four children.
He enjoyed grilling, playing with the family dog, serving others, and was a huge Disney fan. Steven had a strong servant heart and never met a stranger. He valued spending time with his family and was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He loved Jesus and his family so well, and words cannot describe how greatly he will be missed until we see him again one day.
“So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.” 2 Corinthians 5:6-9
Steven is survived by his wife Wendy Harry, their children Hannah Harry, Daniel Harry, Sarah Harry, and Rebekah Harry, his mother Elaine Harry, brother James Harry (Christen), and sister Angela Harry. He is preceded in death by his father, John Steven Harry Sr.
