Jo Ann graduated from McAdory High School in McCalla, Alabama. She worked as an administrative assistant in the medical field for several pathology companies in Birmingham, Alabama.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and as a Master Gardener, she took great pride in the beautiful variety of flowers, plants, and trees in her yard at home. In her leisure, she also enjoyed cooking, reading, antiquing, and traveling. She had many friends, but her true loves were her cats and dogs.
Jo Ann was predeceased by the father of her children, Oscar Wallace, and one brother, Donald Graves. Survivors include Jo Ann's two daughters, Rebecca Wallace Myers (Paul L. Myers) of Fayetteville, Georgia, and Lee Ann Wallace of Irondale, Alabama; three grandchildren, Amie Rogers Bryans (Brian Bryans), Leslie Brooke Rogers, and Brett Lee Myers; and one brother, Robert Graves (Vera Graves).
The family will greet friends at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 9-10 a.m., followed by the graveside service at 10 a.m. at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
