She was born in Jackson, Mississippi on January 28, 1946, to Henry and Mabel Wilkerson. Jean was a very talented seamstress and quilter.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Carl Wilkerson and his wife, Candy Wilkerson; her sister, Nancy Oliver, husband Rea Oliver; her nieces, Christy Wilkerson, Stacy Marie Oliver, Shannon Lea Oliver and her husband Michael Gerardo; and Sarah Rea Oliver; along with grandnephew, August; and great niece, Sophia Wilkerson. She is also survived by her loving Caretaker, Keisha Speigner.
A celebration of life for Jean will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. She will be laid to rest at Floral Memory Gardens in Albany, Georgia.
