Janet received her degree at Mississippi State College for Women. She worked as an elementary P.E. teacher for many years at Thompson Elementary/Intermediate School in the Shelby County School System until she retired in 2009.
She loved spending time with her grandkids, neighbors and friends. Janet was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Hoover, Alabama.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Verna and Clifford Albright.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, David Adams and Brian Adams (Corky); grandchildren, Barrett, Madeline, and Avery Adams; one brother, Gary Albright (Collene); many nieces and great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
