James L. Robertson Jr.

James Lowell Robertson, Jr. of Vestavia Hills, age 93, passed away on October 13, 2018 at his home. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Rebecca Maddux Robertson. He is survived by his daughter Georgia Ann Robertson Bourgeois (fianc Michael Smith) of Birmingham and son James A. Robertson (Eva) of Vestavia Hills, his grandchildren Brad Robertson (Robin), Stefanie Robertson Landes (Michael) and Jared Robertson, grandchildren Charlie and Claire Robertson and dear friend Jeanette Owens of Helena. Jim was born in Arkansas and served his country proudly during WWII in the Army Air Corps, later graduating from the University of Missouri. He was a member of Oakmont Presbyterian Church. His favorite things included his family, gardening, the Atlanta Braves and travel. A self-proclaimed "cruise-aholic" he enjoyed seeing much of the world. Visitation will be held at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham, Al on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. followed by a graveside service at 3:00 P.M. at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
