James William Bussey passed away on June 7, 2020 at the age of 79 at his home in Birmingham, Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Dana (Dr. Dana Brasfield) of 47 years; his children, Heather Campbell (Shon Campbell) and Jared Bussey (Ashley Bussey); and his grandchildren Colvin Bussey, Hudson Bussey, and Caroline Bussey.
He was born October 24, 1940 in Dora, Alabama to Will C. and Rosa Lee Bussey. He graduated from Dora High School, then enrolled in the United States Army-proudly serving from 1963-1965. After his Service, he worked faithfully for the Post Office for the next 41 years. He spent his retirement enjoying his grandchildren and being actively involved in his church. His faith and hope in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the lasting legacy he left for his family and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a Chapel Service following at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
